AEA California Coastal Cleanup Fall 2018
AEA Takes Action K-8 on Saturday, Sept.15, 2018
Please join the AEA community, partnering with I Love a Clean San Diego (ILACSD), in cleaning up one of our local canyons. Students and families, K-8, are welcome.
Middle school families are encouraged to serve with their child, but with signed permission from front office and joining group on Managebac, they can be dropped off and picked up, staying under the supervision of an AEA staff member. However, elementary parents must stay with their children for the duration of the clean up.
When: Saturday, Sept. 15th, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
What: California Coastal Cleanup AEA
Where: Cesar Chavez Park: 1449 Cesar E. Chavez Pkwy, San Diego, CA 92101
Directions: From I-5 South, take the Cesar Chavez Pkwy exit and turn left to stay on Cesar Chavez Pkwy. Turn right on Water St and the destination will be on your right.
Wear: Sturdy shoes, sunscreen, and a hat.
Signed Waiver: EVERY participant at Coastal Cleanup Day needs to sign a waiver. These will be available at every site the day of the event. If you would like to save time at check-in, please download the waiver and have it signed before you show up. Help Reduce Waste: bring your own reusable water bottle, work gloves, and a bucket for trash collection.
Tech Connection: Interested volunteers may download Clean Swell, the Ocean Conservancy’s new mobile data collection app, ahead of time, using it to track the trash you are picking up! iPhone users can download Clean Swell here, and Android users can download the app here.
