Spanish
Assessment

There will be an optional Spanish placement assessment for all incoming 6th graders who chose Spanish as their preferred language. This assessment will give us valuable data that will help us place students in the appropriate Spanish continuum. Dates the assessment is being offered are provided below. Please note that this assessment is not mandatory and no student will be penalized for not participating. We understand that students have many assessments and activities this time of year. Please do keep in mind that knowing your child’s Spanish abilities will help us place him or her in the correct course and avoid the potential of a course change once the school year has started. If your child has no Spanish experience at all, we understand that there is no need for him or her to take the assessment as they will be placed in the non-speaker, phase one course.

Available Dates & Times:

Saturday, May 21st from 10AM – 12PM.
Thursday, June 2nd from 5PM – 7PM

Additional Details:

Please arrive promptly at the start time to support a general message at the beginning of the test. Students can call for a ride when finished. Of course parents are welcome to stay on campus.

The assessment will take no more than 2 hours to complete, but many students complete within an hour.
